Where’s my third economic impact payment?

The third round of economic impact payments are being sent out in phases. The IRS began sending out payments to eligible individuals on March 12, 2021. These payments are continuing to be sent weekly in 2021 as 2020 tax returns are processed. You can check the status of your payment on the IRS website GET MY PAYMENT. 

Most people will not need to take additional action to get the third payment, however due to new income limitations, some individuals will not be eligible for the third payment even if they received a first or second Economic Impact Payment or claimed a 2020 Recovery Rebate Credit on their tax return.

The IRS will be mailing Notice 1444-C, Your Third Economic Impact Payment, to people who received a third Economic Impact Payment at the address they have on file for you.

Please keep any IRS notices/letters you receive related to the third round of Economic Impact Payments with your tax records.
