Important mailings to watch for
Taxpayers to who received either the Advanced Child Tax Credit and/or the Third Economic Impact Payment in 2021 should be on the lookout for two important mailings from the IRS.
- Advance Child Tax Credit Letter 6419 was sent out by the IRS starting in late December/early January 2022 to those taxpayers who received advance Child Tax Credit payments. The letter will say “2021 Total Advance Child Tax Credit (AdvCTC)†near the top and “Letter 6419†near the bottom right side of the page.
- Third Economic Impact Payment Letter 6475 was sent out by the IRS starting in late January 2022 to taxpayers who received a third Economic Impact Payment in 2021. The letter says “Your Third Economic Impact Payment†near the top and “Letter 6475†near the bottom right side of the page.
These letters contain important information that your tax preparer will need to accurately complete your return.
To ensure timely filing, we ask that you provide us with all of your information my MARCH 15th. As they have in the past, the IRS is again urging taxpayers to file electronically with direct deposit as soon as they have the information they need. Once we begin work on you return, it is important to keep an eye out for additional correspondence from our office. Your prompt attention to these requests is greatly appreciated.
